HD Extreme PCIe and Windows 7

PostTue Jul 15, 2014 8:09 pm

I have an older, 32 bit Dell Workstation running WindowsXP, 4GB Ram, with a DeckLink HD Extreme PCIe capture board, and Premier Pro 2.0. The system has worked quite well for several years now. I capture and edit component SD, creating MJPEG AVI files utilizing the board, and I capture and edit 1280x720 HDV utilizing a firewire port on the work station, creating mpeg2 files. Premier handles both types of files nicely.

I'm going to go to a new workstation for my primary HD capture and editing, but I'd like to keep the DeckLink HD Extreme working on my older workstation, which I can upgrade considerably. I can go as high as 16 GB of Ram on the older Dell workstation and I can add Windows 7.

So my question is: WILL MY DECKLINK HD EXTREME PCIe board work well with Windows 7 and 16 GB of Ram?

Thanks for any feedback.
