GPU card error

PostTue Aug 26, 2014 3:21 pm

Can anyone see anyway of getting my 'oldie but goodie' pc to work with resolve lite? I really can't afford an upgrade right now.

I got the seemingly common error of 'No OpenCL acceleration hardware detected' on start up. Resolve started but the would crash when I went to add media. So I updated the drivers.. now it tries to start but crashed before the login page.

I'm a software, not a hardware kind of gal, so this is a bit over my head.. try not to laugh at my outdated spec..

Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)
2.80 gigahertz Intel Core i7 860
Board: ASRock P55 Pro
Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. P2.20 12/10/2009
CONTROLLERS:
ATA Channel 0 [Controller]
ATA Channel 1 [Controller]
ATA Channel 2 [Controller]
ATA Channel 3 [Controller]
ATA Channel 4 [Controller]
ATA Channel 5 [Controller]
Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 3B22
GRAPHICS CARD:
ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series [Display adapter] (2x) 8gb
BUS ADAPTERS:
JMicron JMB36X Controller (2x)
Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3B34
Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3B3C

If I could do anything to this specification to work what would I need to buy?

thanks for your time. :D

Your Radeon HD4600 graphics card is not adequate to support Resolve. You would need to upgrade that. Suggestions are in the Resolve Windows Config guide in the BMD DaVinci Resolve Support area of the BMD web site.
