Decklink Studio - HDMI monitor issue

PostTue Sep 16, 2014 8:36 pm

Hi,

I have a Decklink Studio, am running Desktop Video 10.1.4 on OSX 10.9.4. With Resolve & Media Composer I can monitor with SDI out to my FSI monitor...great! But I can't for the life of me get the HDMI out to work to my client monitor. I have tried using both HDMI ports.. they are not labeled so I wasn't sure which was the out.

Any ideas?

What is your client monitor and what res and frame rate are you trying to output?

Its a Panasonic TC-L32DT30 LCD. I am outputting 1920x1080 - 23.98. I have output this framerate to this monitor before....maybe there is a setting that has changed on me on the monitor that i need to investigate.

I have finally got around to some testing.

the hdmi cable is fine and i can send a signal to the monitor from other sources, although it is not the same framerate as what is coming form Resolve or MC (23.976). In any case, I have output to this monitor before with the same framerate, although there was always a bit luck involved. To get it to output to the monitor from MC i would usually have to start up Resolve first, to do kind of a "kick-start"...but it would get the monitor working. I do get a signal from the SDI out to my FSI monitor...but no luck with HDMI out.

Maybe the card is bad...or the HDMI port is bad? Or...I am missing something simple, which is usually the case. :D
