Tricking a Decklink?

PostThu Sep 29, 2016 12:58 am

Hi, we need to take a feed of a Decklink card into a software application, however decklink cards are not supported by default in it. Here is a table (scroll down) of what is supported in this software https://artoolkit.org/documentation/doku.php?id=2_Configuration:config_video_capture

Is there a way to say "trick" one of the above solutions into reading a decklink feed, or can its feed be rerouted into something else, like a quicktime feed?

Thanks

It will not work with the SDK out of the box unless you code it and add the pixel conversion, pretty simple to do. It will work in some modes with quicktime on OSX up to 10.11 and with windows native capture.

If you dont want to do the work there are good implementations of Artoolkit and the decklink SDK in openframeworks.

I'll play around with that, thank you so much.
