Intensity Extreme with Linux 4.x - great, but one problem

PostMon Dec 11, 2017 5:14 pm

I am glad you finally support Linux 4.x and my Intensity Extreme is detected. I have not tried to capture anything yet, but I get this annoying message about the firmware update everytime I either reboot or log out/login again. It does not matter if the Intensity Extreme is plugged in or not.

How can I get rid of this message box? Please see the image here: https://pasteboard.co/GXK4KRyQ.png

Hi Arun,

Can you provide the following details:
1) Linux Distribution + version
2) Blackmagic Desktop Video version:
Code: Select all
$ dkms status -m blackmagic -k `uname -r`
3) Firmware installed on Intensity Extreme:
Code: Select all
$ BlackmagicFirmwareUpdater status

Regards
Cameron

I found the setting in "Startup Applications" in the GNOME-menu and there, I could remove the Blackmagic Firmware Updater entry, so now the message box does not pop up anymore.
