Cross Compile PCIe Drivers

PostFri Mar 07, 2014 1:48 pm

Hello All,
I'm currently trying to cross compile the DeckLink Mini Recorder drivers into an ARM base platform. I have the cross compiling tool and sort of know how to do it, but looking for a bit a guidance.

I currently have downloaded the DesktopVideo_10.0 drivers included in this software package:

"blackmagic-10.0a7"
and
"blackmagic-io-10.0a7"

Each of these folders contain what looks to be source code with .c and .h files. I was wonder if this is all I need to cross compile into a different architecture? Will this be a kernel module (.ko) that will allow me to communicate to the DeckLink?

If not, could some one point me in the right direction as to where I can find the source to cross compile into an Arm archectiture. I will be running the latest version of Linux with a quad core processor and 2 Gb of ram.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No. Not unless blackmagic releases a version of the .a files that is compiled for a specific ARM architecture.
