We have been testing driver 10.0 and 10.1 and after Decklick QUAD firmware upgrade 720p and 1080i video capture was incorrect, causing a blink in the image preview.

We even had an error doing the firmware upgrade launching BlackmagicFirmwareUpdate update 0, we had to execute BlackmagicFirmwareUpdate update 3 and all tuners where updated...

Even after the 10.1 update, I have issues at 720p60. Indeed, loose input and reconnect constantly, getting a flickering image...
Downgraded back to v9.8 and it's all fine again.

The 10.1 driver is also broken for us, we basically cannot use it at all.

We are using Ubuntu 14.04 with the stock kernel and desktopvideo-10.1a11.

We use two main resolutions: 1080p59 over HDMI and Dual-stream 3D 1080i59 over SDI.

Trying to use either of these resolutions results in no signal and the following message:

BlackmagicIO: WARNING: Ran out of free input frames

Spammed to dmesg 30 or 60 times a second. Using a single stream 1080i59 over SDI does work however, but we only use the 2 resolutions listed above so it does not help us.

Previous 9.x drivers always worked great and unfortunately I have not found a way to downgrade the firmware to work correctly with the 9.x driver.

EDIT: I'm only seeing this problem with 4K Extreme cards, I have an older HD Extreme 3D card that seems to work just fine.
