DeckLink SDI Firmware Update failure

PostThu Sep 04, 2014 9:06 pm

Hi all!
I'm trying to use the DeckLink SDI PCIe Card on Ubuntu 14.04 but when I run BlackmagicFirmwareUpdater obtain this.
Code: Select all
 BlackmagicFirmwareUpdater status
0:         /dev/blackmagic/dv0 [DeckLink SDI]      0xff PLEASE_UPDATE

Well, then I run BlackmagicFirmwareUpdater update 0 and return this
Code: Select all
BlackmagicFirmwareUpdater   update 0
Updating  /dev/blackmagic/dv0: [/] [                                   ]0.00% Completed
/dev/blackmagic/dv0 firmware update failed

I try installing Windows 7 in the same computer and it was installed sucessfully. in windows I can playback and recorder without problems.
Thanks!

Hi,

I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bits and desktopVideo 9.8. Now I can update the firmware but I have other problem when I capture with the Media Express or other software, the video blinks. I'm sure that the input source is fine because I tested the same video input with the same hardware but with other operation system (Windows7).

I have a Linux-based system so I need this to work on linux. Exist a specific configuration?
