Capturing from RGB source using the Intensity Pro

PostThu Jan 01, 2015 10:57 pm

I've been trying to capture from a 1080i/59.94 RGB source using the Intensity Pro. I've had no success with either Media Express (10.3.2) or the Windows SDK samples (10.3.1). With Media Express, I see no images, although connecting the source to my HDMI monitor shows that the source is functioning properly. With the SDK CapturePreview sample, I get frames in the PreviewWindow::DrawFrame() callback that have the correct width/height, but the bmdFrameHasNoInputSource flag is set.

I have seen an encoder/streaming box that is able to do this using the Intensity Pro, so it appears to be possible.

Any guidance you can offer is greatly appreciated.

The Intensity Pro captures YUV. Per the technical specification it supports the following.
HDMI Video Sampling 4:2:2 YUV

If you need RGB support, please consider Decklink 4k Extreme or Studio 4K.
