Ubuntu 14.04 loading wrong module for intensity pro 4k

PostMon Mar 23, 2015 10:57 am

Hi,

I got no response from blackmagic support to this, which is not good, so I'm hoping the forum can help.

I just purchased an intensity pro 4k, running on a dell computer with ubuntu 14.04 LTS. It worked on install, but after a reboot now it doens't work. I've found it is loading what I think is the kernel module for the older intensity pro rather than the newer 4k one. Hence if I do -

sudo rmmod blackmagic
sudo modprobe -a blackmagic-io

- then everything works ok again, but I'd rather not be doing that after every boot. Is there a way to permanently fix this?

Thanks in advance,

Rinaldo.
