Control ATEM Switchers via Touchdesigner

PostThu Sep 03, 2015 3:28 am

Isaac Spedding here.

I'm building a lightboard room

As part of the design I'm making a UI that allows the user to push a button on an iPad and control most of the show from the whiteboard.

I'm using Touchdesigner

Touchdesigner can read and send serial commands via ethernet. However I have not done anything like this before and was hoping someone could explain to me the basics of the following things.

How to install an SDK
What serial commands look like for the ATEM TVS

Appreciate your help, and interested in your ideas.

ATEM uses UDP commands for control, and has a constant chatter, this may be hard to do in touch designer. This might help you out.

Otherwise you will have to write a node for touchdesigner that loads the SDK.
