Simulate ATEM Production Studio

Hello

We have an ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K. Now I want to develop some Software for it. The thing is, that the ATEM is located in the Main Office, which is about a one hour drive away. Ist it possible to simulate Input Streams to develop software, or do I have the cable plugged in directly in my laptop?

Big job, probably cannot ever be commercially justified when ATEMs are so cheap. It is way cheaper to just buy another ATEM, than write a Server Side Black Box for the protocol.

That said, I am working on this as a very low priority task, sometime in 2016 it'll be available, but not early.
