No PDB file/symbols loaded for DeckLinkAPI.DLL

PostMon Nov 30, 2015 7:20 pm

I'm having trouble debugging because there are no symbols loaded for DeckLinkAPI.DLL (no pdb file). Is there a pdb file available for debugging??

Background:
I've installed BlackMagic Media Express and Blackmagic Video Utility on a Win-64 desktop. Both operate OK and I can display/capture video with Media Express. I then installed the 10.5.1 SDK and compiled example CapturePreview. I compiles without error but there is no video in the preview window. (I assume there are no frame callbacks).

Update: the product is the DeckLink Studio 4K.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

To try to debug the issue, you could add a breakpoint to the VideoInputFrameArrived callback.

However, if the input source is connected and the input can be previewed in MediaExpress, then I suspect that the CapturePreview sample application cannot create the OpenGL context which is used to draw the preview.

Please check that you are using an accelerated graphics card with the appropriate drivers installed.

Cheers,
