AVI File succeeded in creating by using DirectShow.

However, a new problem has occurred.

If create an AVI file using DirectShow, dropped frame will occur.

use the connection filter that shown below.(See Attachment)

DeckLink Video Capture -> Smart Tee -> Avi DeCompressor -> AVI MUX-> FileWrite.

Check the Dropped Frame by using IAMDroppedFrames.GetNumDropped.

If using Media Express, Dropped frame does not occur. So the system problem seems not.

Please advise me.

Namgu Kang-
The Decklink 4k Extreme 12G is full duplex and most advanced product in our Decklink card product family. It is best experienced with our C++ SDK.

While we still supply Directshow in our SDK, we are not actively testing, developing, nor plan to develop any further functionality. Directs show support is not coming from Blackmagic Design and is limited to external parties that may or may not be using the modern card architecture of Decklink 4K family.

We do provide WDM filter and we do test some consumer editing applications. So if you seeing no issues in Media Express which is written with our SDK, then it is related to filter based API and we have no structure or plan to address support questions.

If create an AVI file using DirectShow, dropped frame will occur.

High video compression CPU consumption and/or huge amounts of data written to disk are blocking video capture process and result in dropped frames.
