No output unless keying enabled in 4:4:4 RGB mode on DUO2

PostWed Jul 20, 2016 2:46 pm

Hi Folks.
I wonder if anyone can help.
We are using a Decklink Duo 2 card on OSX to output RGB (and sometimes also alpha)

We set the Duo 2 device #1 to 4:4:4 RGB using SDI 1+2

In this mode, however, standard BMD example apps like Signal Generator output *nothing*
We see the same problem in our app when we perform basic frame output (which works fine with a 4:2:2 mode)

The only way to get output through the card in this mode appears to be to turn on the External Keyer - then it works fine.

However, we dont always want the keyer turned on - logic suggests that if the keyer is OFF, then the image should still come out of the Fill SDI, just nothing from the Key SDI. But, in practice nothing comes out at all.

As mentioned, this behaviour is reproduced using the BMD Signal Generator example code.
Can anyone comment on this ?

Thanks
