Excessive Genlock Lock-time on Decklink Quad

We're seeing occasional genlock lock-times in excess of 20 seconds when switching between various video standards on a Decklink Quad. The excessive lock-times often occur when switching between 60Hz and 50Hz standards. Is this expected? Are there any methods available to reduce the lock-time?
