Applescript and Desktop Video

PostMon Jan 23, 2017 10:44 pm

I'm using an Ultrastudio on a Mac for a playout solution.

I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to programmatically change the inputs on the Ultrastudio from HDMI to SDI.

It appears I can't do it through applescript (unless I've missed something).
Is there another way to get access to switching the inputs through software or scripting?

I have way of doing from Windows PowerShell script
https://ianmorrish.wordpress.com/2016/12/16/blackmagic-decklink-device-information-from-powershell-script/
Works on DeckLink cards and Ultrastudio.
I don't believe any scripting solution could do it without some interface library to the API.

There was a similar thread a while back here https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=36862&p=216857#p216857. Take a look at post 5 by Christophe, may be just what you need.
