12-16 inputs? On Linux?

PostMon Mar 06, 2017 10:29 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of trying to use 2 Decklink Quad 2 cards on the same server. I need to stream about 13 streams simultaneously on our internal network. I like that there is still room for future expansion. (I don't plan to do any capturing on this particular machine.)

Has anyone attempted this on Linux (or even Windows)? Tech support says there is no reason 16 inputs shouldn't be possible assuming the power supplies can handle the load. Even if this is possible, will this likely result in major IRQ problems? (From my experience multiple cards seem to work reasonably together, but this is admittedly a bit extreme.)

I'd truly appreciate any input. Thanks in advance! :D
