Wondering if anyone has done much testing with this board yet.
I am seeing rather limiting speeds on the PCIe bus and not yet sure if it is the board or the MB/Processor.
The Board is Gen3x8 so theoretical max performance should be of the order of 8GB/s. I am running it in an Asus Z270-WS motherboard which is a Skylake with a PLX chip to switch the 16 processor lanes in various ways but most commonly to 4 x 8 lanes for 4 GPU slots.
For the Quad 3840x2160 4:2:2 10 bit V210 display I get a bit above 30FPS, mostly 33 ms callbacks not the 16 I was hoping for. Implies maxing out at somewhere close to 3 GB/s.
Has anyone else benchmarked this board in something more fancy like a Xeon and got full rate? Obviously the video out direction is the slightly harder one due to how PCIe requests from the hardware work.
I would also add my to the many questions about why BMD did not properly break this out as a 4x12G IO board, which would sure be more attractive!
