Blackmagick Decklink as webRTC source

PostWed May 01, 2019 10:26 pm

Hi,

I'm using the latest Blackmagic drivers (11.1) and Ubuntu 19. I would like to use my Decklink Duo as a webRTC source but unfortunately in Chrome or Firefox I can't select any Decklink input.
If I go to "Settings-Sound" I see no Blackmagic Input or Output Device. I think this is the problem (for audio, at least).
This happens only in Linux. In Windows 10, everything is fine and I can select any of the four input devices with no problems at all. Since I'm a newbie, I really don't know what I have to do. I installed the drivers following the instructions in the Readme file and the driver is loaded.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you very much in advance,
Davide

Hi,
Long time before I used this way to use WebRTC. Not sure it's still working anymore. Goodluck

Hi Thomas,

Thank you very much for your suggestions! It's a bit frustrating that it is not possible doing it just installing the Linux drivers. On windows, this feature is there and works like a charm but since I would like to keep the whole project as "open source" as possible, I will stay on Linux and check your solution.

Thank you very much!
