Announcing DeckLink 4K PCI Express Capture Cards

Blackmagic Design today announced two new PCI Express capture cards, DeckLink SDI 4K and DeckLink Studio 4K. Both include all the features of the previous models, but now have faster 4 lane PCIe connections as well as 6G-SDI and HDMI 4K connections to allow SD, HD and Ultra HD capture and playback.

The DeckLink SDI 4K retails at $295; the DeckLink Studio 4K retails at $595. Both are available now.

DeckLink SDI 4K and DeckLink Studio 4K will be shown on the Blackmagic Design NAB 2014 booth at #SL219

Unfortunately they appear to be using HDMI 1.4 so no decent 4K framerates through HDMI.

Why did you not change to HDMI 2 for these new cards?

To answer the question myself: according to the November 2014 version of the DeckLink SDK documentation on page 148, it does.
