Blackmagic Design today announced Smart Videohub, the world’s first Ultra HD mixed format routers.
The Smart Videohub 12x12 and 20x20 models have a unique visual routing user interface and 6G-SDI technology, allowing SD, HD and Ultra HD routing at the same time on one router.
The visual routing combines spin knob control with custom router labels, or the customer can select to display live video from the video inputs onto the LCD. This allows customer to see router connections as video on the LCD as they scroll to select routing.
Both Smart Videohub models will be demonstrated on the Blackmagic Design NAB 2014 booth at #SL219.
Smart Videohub will be priced at $1,395 for the 12x12 model and $1,995 for the larger 20x20 model.
