Blackmagic Design today announced the availability of Blackmagic Camera 4.0 Public Beta 2. This second public beta features new support for image stabilization on EF lenses, better lens control, improved focus assist and more. Blackmagic Camera 4.0 Public Beta 2 is available for download free of charge from the Blackmagic Design website for all Blackmagic URSA Mini customers.
Since it was released last month, the customer response to the new URSA Mini camera operating software has been incredible. Blackmagic Design engineers have used customer feedback to continue fine tuning the new camera operating system and add even more features.
Blackmagic Camera 4.0 Public Beta 2 adds new support for image stabilization on EF lenses along with improved focus assist thresholds, better support for Sigma EF lenses, and more reliable lens control when using the broadcast 12-pin connector with Cabrio PL lenses. In addition, this new public beta reduces start up time for the camera, improves playback support and more.
