Blackmagic Design today announced a major new software update for Blackmagic URSA Broadcast cameras that adds Blackmagic RAW support as well as a whole new image processing design for improved quality. Also added is better lens control, updated on screen user controls and much more. Blackmagic URSA Broadcast Update will be available for download in November from the Blackmagic Design web site.
Blackmagic URSA Broadcast Update will be demonstrated on the Blackmagic Design IBC 2019 booth #7.B45.
Blackmagic Camera 6.7 Update features a new de-mosaic algorithm that dramatically improves sensor response on URSA Broadcast cameras, resulting in better color fidelity and cleaner images. In addition, new sensor recalibration features improve the overall image quality by compensating for stuck pixels. Image gain controls can now be adjusted in ⅓ stop increments which gives customers finer control so they get cleaner images with less noise.
