Why won't it run

PostTue Apr 17, 2018 10:51 pm

I have tried to use this software for video editing a couple times because I keep hearing amazing things about it. I think it might be my PC but if there is a way for me to be able to run it with my specs can someone please get back to me on how to do that. thanks :D

Build: Laptop
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 940MX 2GB GDDR5
Processor: intel core I5 7th gen 7200U 2.5GHz dual core
Ram: 12GB DDR4
Storage: 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive
Motherboard: Unknown
Manufacturer: Acer

also the video I record is 1080p 60FPS. if there are any ways I can turn down some settings on the software to get it to run better I would greatly appreciate someone letting me know. :D thanks. have a good day ;)

Your computer is really underpowered to run Resolve. Two of the biggest stumbling blocks are the dual core processor and the hard drive. An i7 processor with 4 cores is faster than your i5. A 5400rpm drive is just not fast enough to output the data. For a spinner you need at least a 7200 rpm drive or an SSD. You should also use a separate drive for your video files, not the system drive.
Resolve is a hardware hungry programme and needs plenty of resources to run properly.
