This was a really interesting video, but highlighted that our recording studios wouldn't be shifting from their PCIe chassis any time soon. We ditched the MacPro6,1 idea when we were building them in 2015/16, opting for the chassis and iMacs on VESA arms.
This makes the entire studio Thunderbolt plug-and-play, so a system failure is fixed by taking the broken one off the stand and dropping in a new one. In the meantime the studio can be operated from an engineer's laptop; which has become a popular standard workflow. A rack Mac Pro ends up looking inflexible for a multi-user facility.
