Wanna to know the benefit of using Linux!!

u can try any LIVE linux distribution .. U will burn CD/DVD , boot from it , and U can try discover linux

for example u can test CENTOS (whitch is free REDHAT distribution) ..

find nearest MIRROR for U :

go to latest 6.4 version .. -> and select ISOS -> select 32bit (i386) or 64bit (x86_64) and get

CentOS-6.4-x86_64-LiveCD.iso

You might also ask your friend what version of Linux he/she is using.

Ubuntu is pretty good for beginners, as it looks similar to Windows. Download and burn a LiveCD to try it out. Then I'd suggest buying a book on it and dual-booting your system.
