You CAN upload images directly - at least once you’ve been a member for a few days. Though it’s a bit cumbersome to do so.

As far as changes go - nothing is scheduled to happen until it happens. People have asked for similar things literally for years. I suggest you’ll be happier if you don’t expect changes to happen anytime soon. Though I must admit I have a hard time doing so!

This is my guide for uploading pictures to the forum. This is on Windows but I assume Mac is similar. It will warn you if the file size exceeds the maximum. You can attach up to three pics per post before clicking on submit.
