Promotion Campaign Bogus?

Hi, Blackmagic fans,

I have a YouTube channel with 15,000 subscribers and I get a lot of requests for product promotions. 99 % of them are bogus scams.

I recently got one from Blackmagic Design using the email domain "pr.blackmagicdesign.tech".

It pointed to a password protected Dropbox where I could get the media package. How do I determine if this is real or bogus before I click on the link?

Hi, don’t select it.

Blackmagic does not email users with invites to participate in PR by providing downloadable files.

We also have blackmagicdesign.com email addresses. Not others.

I’ll report that address to our lawyers.
