even the most advanced sensors today can deliver a maximum 14 fstops dynamic range with two readouts from each pixel: axiom cmosis, arri alexa / amira...
blackmagic allows 12 ~ 13 fstops in raw
the idea is to combine two sensors in the same camera to get 20 fstops DR, the same principle of 2 or 3 ccd cameras from the past, using a prims to separate the light for the two sensors. then the two streams can be merged on camera or record two compressed streams (5:1 compression maximum) to merge in post.
