SDI to HDMI mini converter

I have a SDI to HDMI converter that I would like to feed the DVI input of my SVGA/DVI monitor. A HDMI to DVI-I cable does not satisfy my monitor. Do you have any recommendations.

You could use a DVI extender but that converts it to SDI, then use your SDI to HDMi converter. Not a pretty solution and more points of failure, but one option
