If you want to unsubscribe from any threads you're following, that can be done via the User Control Panel --> Manage Subscriptions.

If you want to actually deactivate your account, I can do that for you as an admin. This forum doesn't have the capability for self-deactivation at the moment.

If you're sure you want to deactivate your account, please confirm.

Shaun,

please don't delete your posts, because then we all lose valuable discussion posts. If you dont like to use the forum in future, don't visit it anymore....

I'd like to echo this sentiment. Many of your posts have been helpful to forum members here. I would be sad to see you leave!

There is one discussion taking place right now I would like to see get resolved, if it can, in the next couple of days. I'll stick around til then.

Sorry, with a recent development on the thread in question I will respectfully ask that my account be closed as soon as possible.

I appreciate the sentiments, Christine and Thomas but I'm afraid the "personality" on the community here isn't in sync with what I'm looking for, barring some exceptions of course.

Cheers.

Shaun
I'd like to add my voice to the "please don't leave" camp! I understand your frustrations, but ultimately its contributions from the likes of you that prevent forums from just being a collection of fanboys and imbeciles. (no offence intended to anyone specifically with this comment!)

The emerging live production scene really needs experienced professionals to help explain the basics to people, and whilst it can be frustrating when certain people demand help whilst refusing to listen I hope that you'll find a way to continue to contribute.

I've been thinking that it would be good to create some tutorials to cover some of the basic principles of "doing it properly" - i hope that having such resources newbies might be in a better position to understand how proper live productions are carried out, and how their own systems could be improved to become more professional. I'd be more than happy to have contributions towards these resources from other professionals such as yourself. I'll discuss this idea further on www.atemuser.com , if you'd care to add your views (or even to tell me its a stupid idea) then i'd be very grateful.

cheers

I have an idea to keep the real pros here where they belong.
