In what mode did you formatt the drive??
Can format discs to ExFAT (Windows/Mac) or HFS+ (Mac) file systems.
So if you have a Windows machine and you Formatted it to HFS+ you wont be able to see the drive.
Also are you sure you installed the drivers of the adapter if any needed?
Do you see the adapter in your hardware log?
