Hello,

We had bought our two Blackmagic Ursa`s some years ago, but haven`t been used it - only were testing. After some time, when we bought new lenses, we started testing them and catched the following problem with displays.
This damage is on both cameras - large and small displays (that is near large), other displays (that is from the other side of camera) is ok. And this defect is seen only when cameras is on. Unfortunately, we haven`t get any answers yet from Blackmagic Design (still waiting). Some people said two versions: or it`s any moisture (but it is very unlikely, cause cameras all time were in a heated placement) or second version - it`s about the glue, that was applyied, during setting-up process, dried up. What is your versions? Anyone was faced with a such problem? Is it a subject to a quarantee?
Also, maybe anyone know about adresses of repair centers in Europe (we are from Latvia)?
Here I attach pictures of this defect (only 3).
Other pictures you can see by this link:

Thank you in advance,
Ilona.

Did you manage to get your cameras repaired?

The damage to your screens seems consistent with some contaminant which is capable of vaporising or outgassing in the space between the two screens when the big screen is closed. Did you ever clean the screens after your tests with anything like wood alcohol or citrus-based organic detergent? Did you ever store a silicagel dessicant pad in between the two screens which might account for pressure damage over a long term?
