Sad Story - To sell or not to sell?

PostWed Nov 01, 2017 11:52 am

Hi guys,

I've used this forum for a long time and learned many interesting things regarding BM products which I'll always be a fan of.
Sadly I'm only registering now to ask for advice regarding what you think about selling my kit. Unfortunately I'm not getting enough work to warrant owning all this kit, I'm no John Brawley or even commercially viable apparently, so I find myself in a situation where I need to sell, and in my current mood I'm going to get rid of the lot!

Below is a list of my gear and what it cost me. Hopefully it retains some value, even if only for someone who will get more use from it. Any advice from you guys would be truly welcome. I don't want to put it all on ebay because they take a fee and I also don't think they have the demographic for this kind of gear.

Ursa Mini 4.6k EF : £4000
BM Viewfinder : £1375
Shoulder kit : £300
Sachtler FSB 10 with CF legs and speed level lock : £3800
VCT quick release plate :: £100
IDX D95 Endura (x3) : £450
V-Mount charger : £125
Rode Film maker kit Lav mic : £329
Lexar 256gb Cfast 2.0 3400 (x2) : £600
Biwin 256gb Cfast 2.0 (x2) : £500
Color Rite passport colour checker : £100
Pelican Air 1535 with trekpak inserts : £300
Pelican 1500 (for batteries) : £100
Sigma 18-35mm : £750

Everything is in immaculate condition as is to be expected from someone with all the gear and no idea.

Thanks for any advice

Sean
