Some updates on the implementation/testing of the new fairlight/edit page INSPECTOR tab full automapping control of sizing/audio/ofx.
Going very well and all seems to work. Found a way to add individual parameter reset into the mix for all sizing/audio/ofx controls. (similar as already in place for primary color controls)
Whats left is finetuning, updating HUD, update manual and more rigorous testing and gradual implementation in all kit flavours so i roll out for all users on same day.
On track for final rollout within 2-3 weeks pending other workload.

So if you have not bought it , you will be missing this in a few week . Yeah its ok to cry...



One take, no edits, not pressing any secret buttons. The mapping is all automatic real time detection. You also see the single parameter reset function and course fine control.

Done. Rolling out this weekend to all existing lucky customers who will have yet another crazy feature added for free to their already crazy controller.
And for last minute new customers there is still a small “post cyberdeal blues” discount running till sunday.
Now some well deserved rest and then on to porting it to the APC40 as well.

YES all my controller kits are fully compatible with the latest DR16 and DR16.1 beta.

For the Beatstep Resolve Edition software kit, that turns an inexpensive little midi controller already in the most powerfull and cost effective controller for Davinci Resolve, now a totally new revamped edit/cut page is available (as of v10.7 for DR16).
The EDIT page now features new high speed efficient and dedicated navigation controls for things like Smooth Jog, Edit Points, Clip Gaps, Markers and keyframes as well as a dedicated timeline zoom control.
Fast target audio and target video track selection as well as direct track auto select buttons on/off. A plethora of smart trimming tools to either quickly select nearest out/in/cut points or clips and then trimming/resizing or directly slip/slide/move/swaps clips all with dedicated knobs. And lots more handy editing/trimming tools
And of course it also features the basic set of insert/overwrite/append/place on and several other editing/assembling buttons as well as a dedicated undo/redo.
CUT page is of course also supported although although only for the relevant subset of features technically available there.

Availability: immediate and currently being rolled out to existing customers (so check your download baskets later today)

At the repeated request of several customers , added a toggle to the LOG and WHEELS page to now additional directly drive the ColorWheels as well, using 4 directional multitouch knobs per ColorWheel. Pushing out today and for all controller kits (APC40 MK1/MK2 v10.7 and Beatstep v10.8)

A sneak peak of an upcoming additional feature for the Beatstep and the Akai APC40 Davinci Resolve software kits. A full featured auto detecting/configuring Camera Raw panel control set. Of course with course/fine control and individual parameter reset.
It smart maps the raw controls for all raw types to similar knobs so saturation, contrast etc is always the same knob for all raw types and identical to the location in the primary and log wheels page. So muscle memory immediately works when you switch to the new raw panel.
Expected to be rolled out in v10.9 around end dec 2019/begin jan 2020

Ok, so as a Christmas present i pushed myself a bit harder and just pushed out the Camera Raw update to all Beatstep Resolve Edition customers so you can play with it during the Holidays.
(The APCMK1/2 where already done over the last weeks)

Wow, I like that idea! A dedicated heads-up display on a separate device will be really useful.

p.s. Final stages of testing and implementing the great remote H.U.D feature on all devices. Expected release in 1 to max 2 weeks...... (as a free upgrade of course)

p.s Sneak peek from a man in a black raincoat, as of next version, expected to be rolled out during NAB period, after special customer requests , full Dolby Vision prim/sec trimming support (special thanks to Dolby labs from providing a temp license during the project)

Next to the flagship APC40's also implemented for this small deskspace Beatstep model...

Update:
DR17 versions are finally ready and being pushed out to users today (separate versions so you can switch between DR16/DR17).
Besides all re-mappings to match new layout for all controller models and other DR17 related changes, the Beatstep models get basic control of the new HDR grading panel in DR17. The APC40 models (more real estate) now also get full control over the new Magic Mask tracker panel as well as full control of the new HDR grading panel.

New customers get DR16 + DR17 versions in a single purchase.

Hi Mark,

Not sure why you use this forum for that as a mail would have sufficed as the normal support route you are used to.
