This may actually be 'on' topic but seeing as "Announcements" is a 'locked' topic I will post here....

Why are there no longer firmware update notifications being posted in 'announcements' like they use to be?

'Announcements' seems to have turned into 'promotional' topic.

Because firmware releases are posted on twitter and big updates also into the relative topic.. Like the latest camera update..
