upgrade issues

PostThu May 16, 2024 1:51 am

Hi, I've been away from resolve for a while and I'm having problems trying to open a usable page after I upgraded to resolve studio 18.6. the main working page just opens with an unreadable series of mainly green lines. (I've tried to attach photos of what loads, and my laptop specs)

you can bring up all the menus and settings, which are all readable, and useable, you just can't decipher anything on the working page.

I'm sure I had the same problem after a previous update, which from memory, was an easy solution with some setting changes, but I can't remember what was changed.

I'm hesitant about trying to upgrade to resolve 19, as I think I'm pushing the limits of my system already. I was hoping to upgrade my computer but had to use the money elsewhere.

thanks in advance

Hi Rob, it's a laptop I'm using, and I believe the CPU has integrated graphics.
all the drivers say they are running the latest versions.
I've been running resolve on this for a while, and it was running version 17 studio without a problem. this has only happened with the upgrade to 18.
I can't remember if the setting changes last time were done within resolve, or in the system settings

Could be that your laptop does not meet the minimum requirements for Resolve 18 and beyond.

I did think of that Steve, but it's exactly the same problem I had with an earlier version update, which was fixed with a simple tweak of a setting. I just can't remember what the tweak was, or who told me what to do.
I'll start looking at everything again and it might come back to me. In the meantime, any suggestions are welcome
cheers
