What's the actual size BMPCC internal IR filter ?

PostFri Jul 21, 2017 5:50 am

I bought a second hand BMPCC a few days ago, and it came with no IR filter inside the camera ? I'm planning to buy cheap IR filter on eBay but I don't know its actual size :?:

That will likely not work. The sensor cover glass/filter is a special filter only 2mm thick, which the lens mount is basing its FFD off of. Chang the thickness, and you chant the lens mount FFD. You can try contacting BM Support office directly to see if you can get a new cover glass/filter,

None of them do. Any BMPCC camera you have with an I/R filter over the sensor was put there by someone else after purchase.

I've been having great success with the following on my lenses.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

They all have IR filters, unless removed, they're just weak/not well tuned. The camera would not be able to reproduce a "normal" looking image without one.

Are you sure it's 2mm thickness ? Because I'd been purchased the 1mm one on ebay :(

Yes, but I said it's second hand. It turns to IR image :(
