OBS and Resolve 16 on windows - best format ?

i seem to have issues with finding the correct file format (and codec) in which to record to resolve can pick up and edit the files. so far the closest i have gotten was mp4 with the mpeg4 codec.. but i get no sound when the clip is in resolve (plays fine outside of resolve) when i try to record in .mov with the default codec. i get told it's not allowed ?

i really need some help please this has been driving me inside for weeks now and i really would like to get my youtube channel going.

W7 is not supported.
You must use w10.

i was afraid of that.. thank you. seems i have no choice then.

now that i am on windows 10... which format is best for recording game footage on with OBS? so i can get sound etc. ?seems i am still doing something stupid/wrong (really new at this)

I moved your post to this thread as more Resolve users are here and many use OBS

Did you try MP4 with h264?
What resolution you use? 1080?

got my sound fixed thanx. just one added question. can anyone tell me why the editor starts at 1:00:00 ? :/ i cant seem to move it.

Right click on timeline: timeline-Starting Timecode...
