can I play a file through DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G

Hi,
I have a DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G that I use with Resolve Studio to see my work in 4K HDR on a 4K HDR OLED TV. DeckLink displays the timeline through the HDMI port, in HDR.
My question:
Can I play a video file through the DeckLink ? Can I play a file rendered by Resolve, a .mov or .mp4, and play it in HDR through the DeckLink, as opposed to how I do it now. My only way to play these files now is I copy the video file to a Hard Drive and play it back through the TV via a USB-3 port.

If you already use it for monitoring out of Resolve, why not just play the rendered file in Resolve?

You mean something like open Resolve, new project, import file ? Never thought of it.

Yep. There are other software players you could use, but if you already understand how to set up Resolve, it works well.

I rendered four files from resolve, all 4K. The first was a H264.mov, the second the same but with the HDR metadata imbedded. The third file is the same except it is H265. the fourth file is H265.MP4. Of the four files only the H265 .mov plays smoothly. It is roughly 1/4 the size of the other three files. None are turning on HDR on the 4K HDR TV. Perhaps there is a setting I am missing.
When playing one of these files directly in windows, to a monitor, and when playing from a file on a disk drive to the 4K HDR TV,only the H265.mov plays smoothly, and it turns on HDR on both the monitor and the 4K HDR TV.
The card plays the 4K HDR TV in HDR when playing the original project in Resolve. Of course, here, it is not smooth playback. Am I missing a setting, or is there some way to force the card to turn on HDR ?
I opened a new project in Resolve and seem to have all the HDR settings for HRD 10 turned on. I put the four files directly on the timeline and try to play them from there. They do play on the 4K HDR OLED monitor, but not in HDR.
