Mini Monitor for 720p 29.97p

PostThu Sep 05, 2013 5:09 pm

Is it not possible to playback or output 720p 30p(29.97p) using a Mini Monitor or for that matter any UltraStudio product? I have hundreds of hours of quicktimes that were captured at that resolution and frame rate. I am using Premiere CC and the only workaround to get output is to create sequences that are 1080 29.97p. This requires me to scale the clip to the sequence size. The clip will then play back ok but it still doesn't play back in the source monitor. Other ideas?

Hi,

720p29.97 is not a supported video standard on the Mini Monitor or any other UltraStudio products. It only supports 720p50, 59.94 and 60 signals. However, 1080p29.97 is supported on the UltraStudio products. You might have to adjust the settings in Desktop Video and your NLE software to match that resolution which you are trying to output. You may wish to refer to the Desktop Video manual, page 11 for configuring Desktop Video settings and page 20 for configuring Premiere settings.
