If you are upgrading firmware, connect the BMPCC to your computer via USB cable, run the camera utility apps.
The apps window will tell you if the camera firmware need to be upgraded or not.
You will not find the camera on the Finder/browser. The USB port on the camera is only used for firmware upgrade only.

I just got 2 BMPCCs today. My associate and I shot some test footage and tried hooking up the cameras to check to see if they were up to date. Both cameras were recognized on my associate's computer and neither were recognized on mine. The systems are nearly identical- Dell 6600 running Windows 7. Maybe there's a conflict somewhere? Any ideas?
