No Apple Prores in Media Express (though FCPX is installed)

PostSun Nov 17, 2013 10:41 pm

Hi,
I recently bought the Ultrastudio Mini Recorder to capture live-feeds through Media Express. For workflow reasons I need to capture Apple Prores. On several forum I read that the only way to get the Apple Prores codec is to install Final Cut Pro. On my other Apple Mac's I have Final Cut Pro 6, but on my MacBookPro 15" retina with OSX Mavericks you cannot install FCP6 anymore. So I installed FCPX.
Unfortunately I still have no Apple ProRes in the capture-options. Next to this, I also only have two uncompressed formats and DPX 10-bit RGB. So no JPEG option or anything else.

Am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong? How can I get Apple ProRes codec in MediaExpress.

FYI: I am currently using Desktop Video version 9.2.2

Thank you in advance.
