Intensity Shuttle 3.0 Continually disconnects

Basically I bought the Intensity Shuttle and received it a few days ago and have been trying to get it to work with my windows 7 ASUS U46E Laptop. I downloaded all the current drivers and the black magic media express software. For some reason every time I plug in the USB cable it continually disconnects and reconnects, it even makes the sound for when you eject a USB device. I've tried updating all the drivers again for both my USB and for the shuttle itself. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

Check your power saving settings on the Asus laptop. Make sure it's set to go full power to everything when plugged into an AC outlet.
