HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR freezing output on looped playback

I work at a contemporary art space. We are using the BMD HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR to serve content on a 65' wide LED wall, with 13 channels of audio. The file loops throughout the day when the gallery is open. We're getting random freezing in the audio and video outputs, while the onboard display shows playback continuing (video content continues, audio meters continue to move). Sometimes, just the video freezes and audio output continues. These are not consistent in time. Often, it will play without incident for the full day, but sometimes it will freeze 3 times in a 16hr period. The drive came directly from the artist's team, and was used at a prior installation with another HyperDeck Extreme 8K.

Served via Ext. USB-C on Samsung T9 2TB, with no other files on the drive.

Currently, the production team will power cycle the unit after a freeze. If our staff is not onsite, the Protection Services staff just relaunch the file. Sometimes the power cycle seems to work for a day or two, other times it will freeze again within a few hours.

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.
