Formatting a 4TB SSD for Mini Pro

PostFri Mar 15, 2024 6:50 pm

I have been trying to get our new (first time) Mini Pro to record to a 4TB SSD drive with no success. The Windows format utility does not go down to a 128k size, so I have been trying to use the command line to do it - still no success.

This is the command I have been using:

FORMAT H: /FS:exFAT /A:128K /V:Samsung_4TB /Q

It formats but the size keeps coming out as 256k and the Mini Pro wants 128...frustrating...

I formatted a thumb drive to exFat 128K and it recorded nicely. Just not sure if a 32GB thumb drive will hold as much as we are needing (1.5 hour meeting)

How do you format to 128K?

Help!!

I don’t think the Mini Pro supports 4TB drives. At least I found none on the list of recommended drives.

Can you initiate formatting in camera?
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
