Ultrastudio Monitor 3G and UI

Pardon my noobiness, but once a clean signal is sent to my grading monitor, I am no longer able to use tools, like a window, on that monitor. Does that mean I will have to have a second view window on my second 'UI' monitor? Seems an odd setup.
