Increasing Sound Latency with Intensity Extreme

PostWed Oct 24, 2012 4:54 am

I am recording live video from a Sony HDR-CX580 via HDMI to a Blackmagic Intensity Extreme to MacMini.

The video records pretty well in a 1080i, but there is a slight audio latency and when time goes by it gets increasingly bad.

Are there setting in the BM software that might allow me to compensate for this?

Have any of you had similar latency issues?

Any help is great appreciated.

Cheers,

Odd, HDMI video and audio should be locked. So unless while you are capturing it is dropping video frames occasionally and thus drifting off you shouldn't have those issues.

Another thing that could cause it is if your video and audio are coming from separate sources and are drifting apart before getting to the Intensity.
