PostMon May 19, 2014 4:57 pm

For a second I got a gamplay screen and then goes black screen.

I too am having trouble with this. In 720p 59.94 mode, the PS4 HDMI video stream cannot be captured by Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 nor with the thunderbolt version. I am even using the "approved" HP Z420 workstation. I also have a declink extreme 4K, and the 720p 59.94 and 1080p 59.94 (the outputs supported by the PS4) both cannot be captured.

However, the pass through seems to work just fine. I see the video going to monitor after leaving the decklink, but in MediaExpress there is only a black picture and 00:00:00. Captured video is all black.

There are many you-tube videos out there that show how to capture with PS4. Most of them have some kind of DVI->HDMI converter box before the signal enters the BM device. Aside from removing HDCP, does this somehow make the signal compatible with BM's products?

Could you post a screen shot of your settings inside the BM control panel and inside Media express

Ok so Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle will not work with PS4 on its own.You need to buy HDMI splitter with 1 input and 2 outputs, stick input from ps4 1output to TV and other to BMI and you ready to record(dont forget to setup your frame rates to 720).I bought simple one from ebay for £10.
This is strange because other devices like elgato or avermedia works without any splitters with PS4 but with BMI is not so easy))

That would imply that it still has HDCP and that the splitter is removing it
